After 14 years of growing and sharing our sunflowers with visitors from all over the world, we have a few key insider tips to make the most of your adventure!
1) Come Early ! We open at 9 am daily,, and some of the most beautiful moments can be experienced first thing in the morning. Come on a weekday at 9 am. Sometimes you can be the first one in and get a chance to see wildlife and the bees waking up! Its peaceful and secluded and usually cooler than mid Afternoon.
2) If you are bringing your dog, avoid the hot noon sun, bring water for your dog.
3) Charge your phones and camera batteries - we don't have power in the farm fields.
4) Plane your trip and choose a great local restuarant or BYO and enjoy a picnic at our farm - Bring a picnic blanket, we have a few picnic tables available, fist come first serve.
5) Wear comfortable walking shoes. Its a farm field and conditions can be rocky, dusty, or muddy depending on weather conditions. You can walk a little or a lot, from 1/4 mile to 3 miles, depending on how much you would like to explore and see.
